Great Work Sriram. The softness of the foreground adds to the painterly quality of the image. I wonder if you have more shots from your shoot. It would be interesting to see more from this expedition.

Thanks for sharing this one anyways..!

Although the subject is very centric here, i still like it.

I wish there was a puddle of water in which you could see his reflection...just like the Bresson shot..! :)

    Nice work here.

Hi Fritsch..! nice shot here and very well framed and great DOF.

I wonder what a slight tilt could/ would have done to this shot.

  1. Thank You Mario for stopping by. I would have liked to get slightly a better shot in terms of composition but light was fading fast....and the rickshaws werent coming as i wished. I might try this shot again sometime later. Thx.

  2. ..during the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival in San Francisco.

    learning to be tough.

    Your observations on this welcome.

    Thanks.

Geoff, you have certainly made a lot of people stop by and look at this image which is telling a very powerful story. i know that a picture is worth a thousand words....but i still feel you could quench the onlookers thirst to know the complete or a little bit more about this story by writing a short narrative, if you do know more about the 2 brothers...and how they landed here in the hospital.

    Nice capture indeed.

  3. Andrea: you caught me on the right foot about the inclination. i certainly did it on purpose to induce some dynamic effect and see if it works. seems like it is working. And somehow most of the people in the shot were looking at the sky adding to that effect.

Geoff: Yes this is a giant kite about 40' in length i guess, which is why you see the human figures to be so tiny. in fact you could see Rocky from miles away as per the owner..! and certainly a lot of people came just to see the spectacle. i just happened to be there by chance. Got lucky..!

Thanks to you both for stopping by.
