Very beautiful still life. The lighting is perfect
-
That lighting is amazing - I'd love to know how you did it

Thanks everyone for taking the time to visit.
I did actually shoot a whole bunch of these Dave but I preferred this one for some reason. I know what you mean about the saturation, next time, I might try a big sofbox overhead as well, or not overexpose as much but I wanted a dead white background so gave it 2 stops over. Maybe 1 1/2 would have been better

Very moody - makes me think of a haunted wood
-
Very good - I love the lighting
-
Very bleak and forbidding. Good tones and the birds set it off nicely
-
Very simple, very beautiful - nothing else to say
-
That's a beautiful portrait - white on white is so difficult to do
-
Just some paperclips on a lightbox
-
another polaroid. What do you think?
-
playing with my first ever large format camera.
Some backlit drops of water on a black acrylic sheet. What do you think?
-
The background is a silver card, 1 320WS strobe fired through a
softbox to the left and a couple of feet above with a white foamcore
to the right as fill.
Let me know what you think?
-
The only thing I'd change is give it a bit of room on the left hand side otherwise it's excellent
-
320 WS strobe above and to camera left. Dice are resting on a mirror
with a black velvet backdrop. This was done completely in camera, the
only PS work is to resize and save as JPEG
Tell me what you think

Trying a high key approach - hit or miss?

What do you think ?

Phalaenopsis or the Moth Orchid

I've often fancied photographing Orchids but never got round to it.
Had a couple of days spare so I thought I'd give it a go
