The lights and reflections are very dramatic. However it seems too much the same. The single light on the left side when all the others have two is a step in the right direction. I like the break in the cloudy sky.

It's simple and pretty. I like the way you managed to get such a soft background. I still have to learn how to do that. maggie

I had been watching the hydrangea bed in our back yard to see when it would
have the best light for a photograph. I found out that it never gets full sun but I
think I like this contrast between light and shadow better than full sun might
look. maggie

Although I tend to feel uncomfortable with the nude or semi nude photographs, There are two things that make this one exceptional. The first is that the hands seem to be holding her very gently. The second is the expression on his face (particulary his eyes gazing upward). It seems reverent. Thank you for helping me expand my view. maggie

Flowers are my favorite subjects and I am most fond of those called weeds
because they thrive on adversity.

This is the last image in the presentation about light and shadow. It shows
both the reflected light and the Passion Flowers shadows.

This is the companion to Ginkgo Leaves #1. It shows the contrast between
nature (the leaves) and people-made environments (the sidewalk).

You can read about what I was trying to do in my presentation introduction for "Stripes of Light and Shadow".

This has some pleasing shape relationships. Maggie

I think this is a nice traditional portrait; however, the contrast seems very harsh. Did you intend for the handbag to be so dark?

This is an attempt to focus on light by featuring its opposite, the shadows. I
think from the critiques I've received on other work that this isn't the sort of
thing the average person calls an abstraction altlhough that is what I've been
calling them.

Thank you to the folks who critiqued "Sharp Scissors", especially to the two
who gave me specific comments. Here's one more and then I'll let go of this
topic.

Beautiful. I like to see images that are from places I will probably never get to. Is it as cold as it looks?

This is an excellent portrait. It seems to be outside which makes the beutiful soft light even harder to get. I would like to learn how to take such portraits. Margaret Ann (maggie) Cockrell

This is a striking image with its complementary colors and the simple blue triangles against the older decoration on the orange area. Margaret Ann Cockrell

I'm new to photo.net and I would like to see how this system works.
Thank you,
