I thought this was more interesting than without the tourist in the

shot. I'd like to hear opinions on this.

These seem to be the only guys guarding Alcatraz these days. Lemme

know what you think.

I realize the chain is out of focus and I personally think the crop

on the wheel is a bit tight on the top. I'd like to hear what you

have to critique on this one.

This was taken on a trip to Kelso dunes in southern CA. What do you

think?

Corsa, This is most definately real -- I have the slide to back it up. :) If memory serves, I underexposed this by a full stop to balance the highlights and blacken the shadows. I accept that photo.net is a site for digital photography by its nature and as such will bring in many kinds of digital art based on photography. I enjoy seeing where people take this BUT... 1) I don't have the skills with a computer; in fact, I struggle just to get a scanned image to look just like the slide, and 2) I find the challenge and enjoyment in photography is in what one can capture on film/CCD/CMOS. So in short, I'm flattered. Thank you for the comments!

Tabb -- I would be curious to spend some more time on this (I was a bit rushed when I took this). I like your idea in adding some more people, although I think it could get too busy if overdone. Unfortunately it's a 5 hour drive from where I live, so it will have to wait for the next trip to San Francisco.
