  1. <p>I'm not Robert Cooper, but... The Manfrotto is heavier, but that means it's also sturdier without having to weigh it down. The Feisol is lighter, so you sometimes need to hang somehing heavy on the hook on the center column to make it stable. I have a Feisol 3401 with center column, and I am very happy with it. It's light and compact, so it gets used ;) It was also quite cheap back when I bought it, I don't know how it compares now.<br>

    I've had Manfrottos too, and the quality is very good, but I settled with a Feisol. For me the choice is easy, I want a lightweight tripod or I don't bring it along. Try to decide how much you want to carry. Both will be fine for the weight of your gear.</p>
