This photo was taken when the sky was extremely overcast and from a
distance of 30 feet. What could I have done, to add some more life to
this photo? Your suggestions would be of great help. Thanks

It would be nice to have your comments on this one

Thanks for all your previous ratings. May I know your views on this
one please. This is not a Canon shot, rather a Nikon Coolpix one,
with a macro which is a bit difficult to focus. Had to spend almost
an hour and lot of hopping around among leaves and branches to get
this picture. It was really difficult to make this guy model for me
with the sun in the proper angle. I wish he/she had more patience
that I have, but then again, may be it would have robbed the fun out
of it. :-)

Something to bug you guys again. Thanks in anticipation.

It would be nice to have some comments on this photograph. It was
taken in a zoo, so no act of bravery here though :-)

Firstly, thank you all for your feedback.
I was trying out various (wallet friendly) ways to have digital versions of slide photographs, and this was the result of one of those experiments, but not one of the better ones. For this I had used a rather cheaper version of a digital camera (a little better than a webcam), to take the shot from the projected image from the slide. Hence you'll find lots of marks in it (coming from the wall) and a loss in the details of the sky, as you had noticed. (Anyway, in case you wanted to know, after a bit of experimenting with some scanners and digital cameras I found out the best way to get a slide photo "digitized" is by taking a macro image directly of the slide itself with something like a Nikon Coolpics, though you have to work a bit hard to get the depth of field correctly handled)
This photo is actually of the coastal fishermen hauling in their net, (yes, a huge fishing net, in the water, is what is there on the other side of the rope. Normally, there would be another group pulling on the other side of the rope, with the net itself will be in the water like a "U". It takes around an hour or so to pull in the whole net. These nets are cast in the water the previous night or early in the morning with the help of boats. I have another photo that would be of more academic interest regarding this hauling in process.
Sorry about the size, I never really realized about it until you guys mentioned. And now I am not sure how I can change it and *not* lose your comments and ratings at the same time. I guess the damage has been done. But if there is way out, please let me know.

What could I have done to make this a better photograph? I had a
constraint as far as the framing is concerned, this is the best that
I could do regarding that. Sggestions would be of great help
