    Each Winter between December and March, hundreds of Bald Eagles

    migrate from the frozen north of Canada and Northern United States to

    the shores of the Mississippi River between Eastern Iowa and Western

    Illinois. Coming to areas around the multiple locks & dams where the

    turbulent water remains relatively open throughout the winter months.

    Here, they perch high above the waters, keeping a keen watch for

    their next meal.
