Perhaps its me. But if I look at this large, I can see the detail of the beams in the ceiling. There are some areas of complete black, but not the entire roof.

If shot this one Sunday morning last fall at the Mission Santa
Barbara. The young man and his daughter were waiting for the mother
who was helping during a mass.

A shot this afternoon from center field.

Another of my balloon festival images.

This is best viewed LARGE.

I shot this early in the morning this February on a drive to
Florida. This is a segement of a much larger image. I cropped it
like this to pick up on all of the blues. They have not been
saturated or otherwise adjusted in photoshop. Thanks for looking. I
appreciate any comments.

High school football in the fall can be a cold, dark, wet game. This
evening you could hardly see the other side of the field because the
fog rolled in.

This is the second version of this image. I've adjusted the horizon
to straighten it out. I would appreciate any comments.
Thanks.

I was getting ready to take a quick portrait of the family at a
waterfall, and the dog hopped in front. I like this picture because
fo the great color and because of the detail on our dog. You can
just by looking at him that it was about 95 degrees!
Not bad for just another dog picture.

A beautiful late summer morning in Northampton, MA.

Actually, what I meant to say in the original comments is that everyone seems to take the same picture there: Three boats, of differing colors, all tied to the pier. I got down on my belly on the lower dock to get this...just a little different perspective.

Every time someone goes to Rockport they seem to get the shot of the
dingy's along side the pier. I have one in my portfolio. A couple
of weeks ago, I made a winter visit. No one was around. The sky was
a brilliant blue and the reflection in the water contrasted the color
and weathered look of the little boats.
In general, I like the colors, which have not been saturated at all.
I would love to hear your thoughts.

I know its a little hot on the side, but it was my first attempt
a "sports portrait." My daughter is a natural poser.

Another of my waterfall shots. I would appreciate any comments--
good, bad or indifferent. I am trying to hone my work to the point
where someone would actually pay me for it.
Thanks for looking.

I made this image as we were leaving our dog in a kennel for the
weekend. I love the soulful look on his face, and the gentleness of
his paw on the fence.
No, its not Ansel; its a dog picture.

I was playing with some layers in Photoshop and was about to
desaturate this to black and white. I mistakenly desaturated the
bottom layer only--but I kind of liked what I saw. I would love to
hear your comments.
This was taken just as the sun was coming over the mountains on an
early November morning.

These pears were in a wagon along side the road last fall. There was
a sign on them saying "Free Pears." After one look and a quick
smell, one had to wonder just who would want these free pears.

On the actual print there is some texture in the far shadows (under the lighthouse). They dont really show well on the screen.
Thumbs Up
