I have taken a few jpeg's with my E-300 now, and have come across a
problem. Every shot I take (at SHQ, supposedly lossless compression)
winds up over 300 ppi and only 20 times 26cm big. Comparing it with
SHQ's from my C-5050 compact, which produces images at about 72ppi and
90cm in height, I just can't figure out why or how to set this right.
I mean, at 8 megpixels, you'd think you at least could fill an A4
print right? I'd be very happy to hear someone go through this PPI
business ONE MORE TIME. Never had this problem in the darkroom
goddamnit...

I have been using a 645E for about 6 months, alongside a Rolleiflex. I
bought it because I miss my M645 1000S that I had a few years back. It
came (almost unused) with the 80 and a 45N. I must say the 45 is close
to the sharpest lens I have ever used. Zeiss and Leitz included. What
I am a little worried about is the build quality of the 645E.
It's very plastic.
This weekend I noticed a crack in the house. A couple of milimeters
out from the base of the prism housing, a crack was present in the
form of a line, maybe a centimeter and half in length paralell to the
viewfinder housing. I started fiddling with it, and it came off. The
plastic seemed very soft and cracked very easily when pressure was
applied to it. The wound is purely cosmetical and thouroghly annoying,
but it has made me a little nervous around this otherwise wonderfully
fun camera. Now, the entire camera oozes "economical", without the
buttery feel of the Rollei, or even the older M645's. This normally
shouldn't mean anything as most photogs rarely let their expensive
babies go rolling down stairways anyway, but I have no idea how mine
came to be hurt, and I'd like to be reasured.
Any experiences to share out there?

Hy.
Im waiting on my absurdly inexpensive Zeiss Ikoflex Ib TLR. Does
anyone have any experience with the glass in these? How sad are they
gonna look next to my Hasselblad prints? Anything else I should know?

Hey.
Just got my Fuji GS645 folder, (bellows already changed thank-you-
very-much) and I'm loving it! Except: My negatives are not full
frame. That is, the left hand upright edge of the neg. is curving
slightly inwards, and makes a sharp left hander at the end. What on
gods green earth is this? It ruins my black edges on my prints!

I am waiting for a CL body and 40mm from Ebay. However I know (and
also all I know) is that the lightmeter is not working. I know this
could mean any number of things, but my question is; should I try to
have it fixed, or simply go for a Leica/Voigtlander meter to plug
unto the shoe? Does anyone have any exp. with this? Which meter
should I look for on a budget? and also; how wide a lens can the CL
take?

I've been using one for about a week and my opinions are:
1. very small and light. The front lens el. is so far back in the lens barrel it acts like a shade. Tiny, tiny glass.
2. AF is ok.
3. seems very sharp. Better than 14-45.
4. short tele is a wonderful focal length.
All in all, at the price it sells for? A steal.
