It's a bit too centered for my taste, although seeing it now in reduced size, I like the abstract qualities the way it is. If you cross you eyes, squint, and then drop some acid, it could be a supernova in a far away place. I would change my "originality" rating higher if I could.

All the world is a stage, with the spotlight that illuminates each of us alone. In my private mind, I am who I want to be, where I want to be. Indeed, dressed as befits my moods and fancies. This filth, this squalor, that is humanity is not real. What is real is whom I choose to be.

There is much working toward a great composition. The subdued lighting; the almost perfect circular rings; even the imperfect feather. More depth of field, and sharp focus to the rear, would have elevated this from simply intriguing to arresting.

I love the off-center placement, which enhances the tussle between formal symmetry and natural assymetry and imbalance. An absolutely fascinating image. The unexpected geometric, angular planes just adds to its playfulness. Do such things really exist in nature?
