...for all the comments. I didn't actively choose to do it in blues - it was the camera's choice of white balance, and I saw no reason to correct it given the results!

First attempt at still-life - I saw some baskets of vegetables in a

nice coffee shop I stopped at in New Zealand, and thought I'd try it

out.

Increased contrast to get more separation of dress from background.

I would have given this more for aesthetics, but the hut poking out of the horses neck spoils it a bit. Would be really nice with all three horses looking up.

A good day up in the Colorado mountains. First trip out with a new lens (Sigma 18-50,

replacing the kit lens for my 300D).

I really like this photo, and the mood it conveys. Personally I'd prefer it cropped a bit on the right hand side, but that's not a criticism, just my point of view!

Saw this while out for a cycle ride on Sunday. Don't think I made

anywhere near the best job of it, and would appreciate some pointers!

Tried to climb Flattop Mountain, and got snowed off. Hiked down to

find nice weather at lower altitudes - but obviously still rather

mank up to!

It's taken looking through the war memorial at the end of the park, which has glass panels (and other stuff) all with "Peace" in various languages written on them.

Was in Paris for part of my honeymoon, and went to see the Eiffel

Tower. Tried to find a different perspective for a good photo!

First off, I like the photo! However it looks like there is a hair on one of the clouds, and the image overall seems to have too much sharpening - there are halos around all the ridges.

Any comments most welcome!

Maybe crop to just the waves? The sky isn't that interesting and doesn't add anything for me.

Whoops! The horizon is definitely off - I'll have to correct that before I make a print. How would you suggest enhancing the reflections? I'd like to try it, but my photoshop experience is a bit limited...

Very little wind, so the reflections were clear all the way over the

lake. This was the best crop I could find - would appreciate any

pointers. I've increased the saturation, and cloned out a distant

buoy, plus the edge of a rock on the right hand side which I found

distracting.

The background is a bit distracting. The picture has a nice symmetry to it - if it's possibly to retake, maybe hold the hand in front of something plainer?

I like the idea, and the processing, but the cirrus cloud detracts from the image. I think it would be better with more solid cloud, or even a clearish sky.

Was camping by Derwent Water in the Lake District, and the morning

light over the lake was very nice.

This looks noisy, but I'm guessing that's high ISO or fast film? I'd crop a bit off the right, but that's just my opinion - it's nice as it is.
