I like the way the photo is creeping out of the frame.

That's definitely an interesting effect. Did you take a few shots with and without blur? Did you try using a diffuser with and without blur to get rid of the harsh shadows and saturate the color more?
-
Amazing capture! I'm glad I didn't have this opportunity!

I would have liked the horizon a bit lower to eliminate the heavy black block in the bottom left of the photo. That would also be a happier "rule of thirds" placement for the horizon.

How did you generate the blur? Was it a photoshop thing or some sort of filter?

I know this sounds nuts, but this photo is almost too sharp for me. I don't need to feel quite that knowledgeable about this fellow's skin!

I like the effect of this shot. I think I would like it more if I couldn't see the metal part of the hangers-- maybe a slightly lower point-of-view.
-
This shot is, in my opinion, over filtrated. The polarizer has rendered an almost midnight sky. THe flag poles in front aren't very photogenic. Perhaps you could crop them out?

How did you go about producing this shade of black and white? I really like the almost sepia color cast. The lighting must have been quite difficult-- there are a few burned-out highlights in the snow.

The difficult part about a sunny day and the forest are all the little "hot spots" of light. The way the sky is completely bleached out and the little white patches on the background trees for example. A possibility for shooting on a day like this would be to look for interesting foreground subjects like this, and then try to find a camera angle that eliminates or minimizes your view of the bright areas. Check out John Shaw's "Nature Photography Field Guide" Awesome book. Very informative and conversational. Good luck!!

I like the perspective and composition-- you've done a great job of finding an interesting angle in a mature subject. The lighting makes this shot difficult, however. Did you use a tripod? There seems to be an awful lot of camera shake. (blur)

Great contrast!! I almost wish for a little more floor for the bench.

I hate to say it, but I find the distortion at the edges of the frame rather distracting. I know you found the log interesting, but I have a hard time liking the way it breaks up the lines of the waterfall. The exposure is well done. Did you use a polarizer? There is some reflection off the log that I think could have been minimized.

What a neat study in shape and color. great exposure.

I love this view of the mountains!! The choice of black and white really makes the photo.

Duh. Had I read your technical details first...
:-)

I love the way he surveys the world from the safety of the branches. The composition is simply wonderful!! Is this a crop or were you just that close?
-
The background is more interesting than the foreground in this picture. I'm not sure how you could have adjusted the angle to either isolate one leaf/stem or tackled the background as your subject. I would suggest simplifing the composition. Eliminate as much clutter as possible.

I like the layers of black and color. Very well done.
