I really enjoy this website and the quality of questions and answers. In my

reading I have learned that photography is mostly about business and less

about taking pictures. Therefore, is there a forum just for questions about the

business side of photography? A place where you can ask about how to deal

with disgruntled clients or ask about how much to charge for a photo session?

As an amateur wanting to turn pro, I would love to read what people have to

say. If there is a forum on this already I apologize. Thanks.

I am not sure where this question should go in the forums but I thought I would

try here...I am wanting to move in the next couple of months (not happy where

I am) and I am trying to decide where to go. I am wanting to become a

professional photographer in the next couple of years. I am not sure what

area of photography I want to do yet and want to explore all options. Does

any one have suggestions about a town or city in the U.S. that has a strong

photography community? For example, there are lots of galleries, art lectures,

possible photography jobs, and community college classes in the art and

business of photography. Thanks for the help.

Maybe a better question would be...Does anyone know if any of Canon's new

cameras are better than the 10D? Thanks for any help.

I was about to buy the 10D today and then saw Canon has come out with 7

new digital cameras. I really love the 10D and am pretty anxious about

getting it and I have finally saved enough money. Now I am questioning if I

should purchase the 10D or wait to see what the new cameras are like. I

want to get a new camera in a few weeks no matter what, it is just a question

of which one. Any opinions?

Does anyone have suggestions for a book specifially about the photography

business?

I appriciate all of your responses. I realize now that my question was not

specific enough. I would like to do portraits in a studio and also event

photography like weddings. I have heard from alot of people that taking a

I am an amatear photographer who would like to turn professional in the next

few years. I was wondering if anyone knows of a list (in a book or on a

website) of equipment I would need in order to start a photography business.

I am buying a Canon 10D in a few weeks and was wondering if I should buy

the 10D kit or just the body. I have an Elan with a 35-80mm lens and a

75mm-300mm lens. I know I can use these lens on the 10D body but was

wondering if I should.

Also, what is the PMA? Everyone is saying wait to buy the camera after the

PMA. Could someone explain what that is? Thanks for any help, Ann
