  1. <p>Good time!<br>

I think the pixel war will be never out. Like the Gbytes war in HDDs or flash memory is not still.. for few years these "standards" of 12-24 Mpix might be frozen, afterwards a new turn of the spiral will start.<br>

    Sincerely,<br>

  2. <p>Hey Jason !<br>

I've spend here almost 6 years, now leaving Korea..<br>

I have bought here D50 (Namdaemun market area), then sold out after 2 years(same area) , then bought D300 (same place) and now using it for 1+ year. Got no problems so far. Both cameras were purchased without ANY warranty (it was about 200.000 won cheaper in case of D300).<br>

    No problems so far.<br>

I have also purchased 5 lenses. Nikons - without any warranty, Sigma - with Korean one, to be sure. But all of them are just fine, as were/are the bodies..</p>

    <p>Regards,<br>

  3. <p>Good Time !</p>

<p>Once again, thank you for many contributions.. and for the nice link :)<br>

One day I will do such an experiment...</p>

  4. <p>Good time everyone..</p>

    <p>Yesterday I purchased a Nikon 85mm 1.8 AF-S lens. It is very good.</p>

<p>But due to overlapping of two stupid things i scratch the front element first day :(</p>

<p>First, I was stupid: trying the lens hood it came out of thread and toached the glass..<br>

Second, (to less extend stupid): This lens hood itself is metallic and surface is not smooth near the thread... with plastic hoods i would never have this scratch.. as well as with metal, but better finished filters...</p>

<p>well.. just sad... this scratch does not affect the images... :)</p>

  5. <p>Good time!<br>

I would like to clean my D300's sensor with "Photographic Solutions" Sensor Swabs but not sure which "TYPE" of the swab to choose.</p>

<p>They have three types, and here (http://shashinki.com/shop/sensor-swab-type-nikon-d300-d200-canon-350d-400d-pentax-k10detc-p-338.html) the TYPE 2 is suggested, whereas here (http://www.photosol.com/cameras_bymfg.html) it is the TYPE 1..</p>

<p>Please, those who know for sure and have already used definite type of swab, post your opinion.<br>

    Thank you in advance!<br>

  6. Good time!

ACTUALLY, for the money Nikon wants for all D200, D300, D700, etc... first what should be absolutely provided is

rugged body and absence of design "mistakes" (such as non-centered view in the D700's viewfinder reported by Shun

    Chung).

Few issues related to the body rigidity are: rubber cover sometimes take away on D200, and a liiiiitle it does so

    on my

D300, also the reports about the CF card door on D700, which has no lock! (which is also a design mistake)

While I can understand 95% coverage on viewfinder on D700 (to avoid direct competition with D3) i absolutely dont

understand the shift of the view in

it. It seems that my D300 has also a little shift, but i didn't do any exact measurements like Shun..

    Why did i say this?

Because I'm waiting for the FX format which is free from mentioned issues within the price tag of D300 (<2000) :)

    NB.

  7. Thank you for responses so far!

    1. Who changed the name of the post without asking me? Absolutely unacceptable! How about democracy ?

Seems Nikon Co. pays to those guys (well MODERATORS), uh ?? How about to create moderators-on-moderators to

change back what they do? Then mods-on-mods-on-mods?...

(I thought before mods are serving to eliminate some bad words, rough behavior online, etc...)

    2. Gerald, i cannot use "M" mode since I really need 6 fps speed to get these three frames as fast as possible.

They are for a HDR picture...

But even shooting 5 fames the total time will be near the time I spend with my D50 for 3 frames! So neither D3

nor D300 ARENT for HDR photography!

    3. Any propositions? I mean propositions about how to contact Nikon ?

Thank you guys anyway for you response.

  8. Good time !

I don't know should I complain or not, but sometimes the philosophy of making new Nikon DSLR models is far from

    being clear..

Why in the D3 and D300 does Nikon omit so simple feature as choosing the bracketing step

    greater than 1 EV !?!

I could easily access +- 2EV of bracketing with my D50 using

always 3 frames for bracketing sequence. Now I cannot do same with my D300 unless to shot 5 or 7 frames, which I DONT

want to shoot, since it is silly then to delete an extra frames! And why should I intentionally shorten my D300

shutter's lifetime? It is almost twice even in case of 5 frames...

Nikon should provide some online feedback from the users in order to fix such an issues in the future

firmwares, because it is rather simple. I'm sure, my issue is just a question of a soft, but it appeared to be

in the shadow of nikon marketing..

If someone has similar considerations about the same or related issues, I propose to compose an official letter to

nikon where such a "wish list" could be presented.. Although, I cannot yet figure out where to send it, since

    "Contact

    nikon" on the

site sends me to some local service center, but not to the "nikon philosophy department" which I actually need..

    Any suggestions?

    NB.

  9. Andy, don't hesitate to use a double button reset.

As I understood you can save all settings on a flash, then simply load them again. "My menu" items should be

saved as well (not checked though..)

  10. Good day!

This time there is some good experience to share :)

Recently I got more than 1100 shots on fully charged battery with my Nikon D300, and what is interesting that few

hours camera was working at temperature below 10 C, among them, during one hour about 0 C with snow (see picture).

Honestly, it was very nice experience, even though i used internal flash about 10 times only..

Well, just to say... hope somebody can share similar experience...

    Regards.

  11. Thank you, Andrew, for your suggestions and link!

I think i'll go with a wet cleaning kit soon: E2 + some wet swabs...

Im not sure whether a dry-swab can remove the oil spot -- it seems it will just make it blurred which is by no

    means acceptable...

    Thank you again!

    NB.

  12. Eric, in my case it is likely a droplet of something on the sensor thats why I'm suggesting wet cleaning....

it is interesting that two droplets are located along one line which is parallel to smaller side of the sensor

(like something has dropped from above to down??). Both of them on the pictures have a right shape, the first one

looks as in the first post ,and the second one repeats the iris diaphragm shape (attached picture - right).

At the same time dust particles appear and disappear from time to time and they don't have a right shape and

normally all black (attached picture - left).

    NB.<div>00RJqP-83513584.jpg.1e21a136ee77a1fef5cce10285057f80.jpg</div>

  13. I think also that Andrew and Berg are both right bacause i got some dust before and it looks normally like a black spot on the pictures, whereas here we have something else, which might act as a small lens..

The dry cleaning methods which I read about so far wont be useful against a non-dust contamination, so I need to get an Eclipse E2 and proper swap i think...

Thank you for all the feedback again !

    NB.

  14. Steven!

Thank you for sensor cleaning kit suggestions!

First im gonna try switch the sensor shaking every time camera get ON for 1-2 weeks, that will order the brush.

It is not on a lens since - 1. few lens give the same effect 2. contamination(s) are visible directly on the sensor, exactly where they produce the spots on pictures.

    Regards, NB.

  15. Thank you so far !

    - Bill, any software is not an option for me since it is an extra time to process pictures..

    - Allis, thank you I will check about Eclipse fluid.. could you precise a blower type...?

    - Elliot, My D300 is a gray market body bought in S. Korea. no free cleaning for it :(
