Guys, I'm trying! I swear. He hasn't responded to me. I have told him flat out and plainly that I would abide by his wishes and even e-mail my friends and tell them NOT to EVER comment or rate me again. So, what do I do?

I was thinking the same thing as Wilson on this one before reading the comments. The hate disappears on the right badly and a little on the left. If you could bring up some background lighting, I think it would improve the shot. As a whole a very nice treatment. You know... I'd love to see this in a sepia tone shot even with some crackling effect added. This guy looks like something out of the 1800's. It would be a very cool "Old" photo look to work with.

The strong point of the water in the foreground is how excellently it draws you into the picture and gives dimension to the shot. the tough part about it is that it makes the horizon appear to be tilted towards the right. I looked and looked at it thinking the horizon was off but it seems to be straight on close examination.

 

That is my only negative thought at all. Apart from that this is a very beautiful shot. I'm also getting tired of the sunset shots as it is always so hard to capture original / interesting shots. You have done a fantastic job on this if for no other reason than making it interesting.

 

Also, and this is very subjective thinking, but I'm giving you all my thoughts here. Perhaps the horizon could be brought down just a touch to more closely hit the upper third of the photo? On the rule of thirds idea, it is slightly to high. A touch more sky or a tad less land?

Roy, love the tones used here. Definitely adds to the chilly look. The hazy looks also is cool. Pun intended. :-p Of course it's typical that a person with no photo's submitted is the one that gives a 1/1 rating.

I definitely like the verse. It fits the image well.

Asthetically very pleasing.

The size of the image and the sideways submission mak ethis image about impossible to view.

Wish the image file was larger so as to appreciate it more.

to huge of a file. Save as a smaller size please.
