Great job. Good capture of the spash, but yet nice blur on the wings to show speed. I would like to see more head room on the right side. When cropping, you want space in front of the direction that the object is moving in. Otherwise GREAT WORK.

Because of the speed and movement of the pace car I was shooting from. As for the speed of the cars after the pace car leaved the track, most these cars here will do MPH or more in the straights!

Photo taken a few evenings ago. The rainbow type feature is known

as a sundog and predicts a storm many times.

Jennifer, Thanks for all your comments and ratings on my photos. I took this to send to the local T.V. stations weather man. The "rainbow" effect in the middle of the image is known as a sun dog here in Utah (old indian term). It predicts rain or snow about 85% of the time. This one was cool because of the intersecting contrail from a jet.
