In the fall I'M going to take photography class,so I can learn and develop my own films.
So many stores stop developing films all together, very disappointing trend lately. Post, was just
wishful thinking.

I just came across this in German website. I don't know if this is real or not.
But who ever make this device into production, probably make all the old SLR prices prices go up in astronomical prices. I like the idea of using both film and digital out of my NEW F-1. I can't imagine type of resolution using my 55mm 1.2 ASP lens with this device will produce. I hope somebody make it happen, because locally less and less
photo stores develop films anymore.

Thanks for info Mark. I always got confused the proper name for latest F-1.

I've checked over the camera again. But symptom still exist, and mirror return is normal. I have one other Canon F-1n being CLA by Ken Oikawa still have not gotten back to me yet. That's that and this
F-1n is my original introduction to FD system back 12 years ago. Collectors condition all together
I have three F-1n,and I love everyone of them. What scares me, is this serious electronic problem
can't be fixed. I guess that I need to have Ken Oikawa look thoroughly over the camera. I use to
have T-90,but after two body went bad and part's are hard to come by. So I replaced T-90s with
three F-in never thought it will go bad but it did. I guess after 30 years of being around nothing
is bullet proof. I know film cameras are losing interest with current generation of photographer.
But every-time I lay eyes on my 3 F-1n "I can't part with such magnificent camera".

Hi.
My favorite Canon F1-n camera, I think the camera got a serious shutter problem.
Other day I pulled out the F-1n camera to test, and soon realized abnormal
shutter speed between 8 second to 1/60. It is puzzling me,I've set F-1n lens iris set to manual,
and fired from slowest shutter speed which is 8 second. After firing several times the shutter speed
of 8 second the shutter start to fire at irregular speed mostly 8-1/60 of a second. When shutter fires
at irregular speeds it seems to be at less than a one second. I've changed to new battery but symtom
occurs again after firing several times at slow shutter speeds. I don't know if I am doing somethings
wrong on this camera, or is it time for CLA. It's really pissing me off that I can't dignose the F1-n
my self and fix the problem.

All info and advice is appreciated.

You probably hearing sound of shutter blades it is perfectly normal. Put it on the body and check if all aparture open up normaly. I have the same lens so I would not worry too much about it. 50mm 1.2L is one of the best lens I ever used enjoy.

Tom, I used Wal-Mart develop well as scanned my negatives. I wish I had your high end scanner. I was very disappointed with my canon A640 10mp performance in landscape shots. I will never underestimate FD prime lens performance the pictures I posted look far superior on prints. Maybe I need to get Nikon 5000 ED scanner to bring out tiny details. Soo

True! I been getting better results from scan negatives then digital cam. I have canon A640 10mp camera it is no match on landscape shots taken with AE1 by 35mm 2.0 SSC lens. To me unless you invest on top DSLR it is no match for properly exposed scaned negatives.
