I hope it isn't too late to pass on this information - maybe you'll have web access on your business trip. Anyway, if your schedule allows, you should take note that the most spectacular light in Upper Antelope is between about 11am and 1pm when the sun shines into the narrow opening at the top of the canyon and down into the canyon floor.
I don't know about Lower Antelope, that was closed when I was there two years ago.

Tours from Page are overpriced. Just drive to the parking lot and take the 4wd shuttle from there to the upper canyon.

Antelope Canyon is very beautiful but right by the road and very crowded. If you have time while you're in the area, Coyote Buttes is about an hour's drive north west of Page going towards Kanab. It is remote and peaceful, and contains some of the most amazing landforms I have ever experienced. Go VERY early - the dawn light is unbelievable, but you need to leave Page about 3 or 4am to be out in the desert at sunrise. Visitor permits are strictly limited though, and you shouldn't try to go there without a modicum of desert hiking experience.

Another vote for RDP III, rated at 320 and pushed 2 stops. Beautiful - razor sharp, saturated but not over the top colour.

I just bought a used 500C, without manual, and I can't get it to take
pictures! I hope it's some basic Hassy ritual that I don't know and
am not doing, rather than the camera being faulty.
The shutter fires fine without the back attached; but with the back
on, it won't. I am remembering to take the dark slide out, and I've
tried attaching the back with the little marker window on the back of
the body showing both white and red. Same (lack of) result either
way. The marker window on the back is showing white. Can anybody tell
me what I'm doing wrong? Maybe I haven't loaded the back correctly?
Or maybe there's something wrong with the back, or with the back-to-
body coupling?
Help!
