    Great picture, lovely neutrals and straw. I would take it even a bit further and get rid of the tiny touch of blue you can see through the crack of the door. A little distracting (this comment is post-rug :) )

    Very nice painterly qualities - good contrast, good color, good texture. Composition fine, but could use a small punch a little stronger than just the wooden square.

    Need differentiation between animal's coat and the shadow beneath him (just a bit). Aesthetics / composition very nice, but I hate to see the seal become a silhouette.
