Thanks! I actually played around with the contrast in ps. It was a lovely color photo, and I wanted it to have a surreal look as a black and white.

I disagree - not in focus at all, and wrong exposure altogether- way to dark - no whites at all. Too dark. Also in a horizontal portrait 99/100 times your subject should be off center to be visually appealing. (rule of thirds) This rule is right for most shots. Not sure what else there is to comment on. Lighting is harsh, creating your nasty shadow. Moving her away from the wall is a start. I see the lighting is above (the catchlights give it away), but moving it forward a bit at about a 45degree angle would soften the light on her face. Sorry to be frank, but keep trying and you'll get it.

Personally my tip would be to try to choose shapes in clouds that give the feeling of movement. You can create shapes depending on your exposure, your angle and cropping of the sky. Not too sure about this one. Just my opinion though. Clouds by themselves are hard to shoot. Sometimes a forground in the bottom 1/3rd might enhance the photo. The emphasis would still be on the sky.

Please tell me what you think of the lighting. I purposely used

natural light, pumped up my ISO to 1600 and -1 compensation to get

this shot. I have a whole series of them. I love them - but am not

sure if they will. (??) There are ones without this yellow lighting

too. It was shot inside an old building. The lamp used to be outside.
