  1. <p>Bummer. Penn had its shortcomings, but I always bought there when they were within 10% of the price I could get on line (with tax, the increment was always more than 10%). But on big ticket items, they were still not always competitive. I bet a lot of it was overhead; they had a lot of expensive (and convenient) locations downtown, whereas their competition either existed in cyberspace, or in warehouse space way out in Ashburn.</p>
  2. I have had the same problem with my 350D, even set on my heavy Bogen tripod and using an electronic cable release and mirror lock up. I have solved the problem by pressing down firmly on the top of the camera with my palm as I release the shutter. This has worked for me for exposures as long as 10 sec. What I noticed, by the way, is that even with mirror lock up, the force of the shutter opening is strong enough to give the cameral quite a shock, which may explain why my long exposures have tended to be blurry while shorter exposures have been razor sharp.
