Can anyone give me a reasonable comparison between the Contax 645 and

the Rollei 6008i in terms of quality of image, ease of use, etc? I

am not at this time thinking of assembling a large system, just body,

a standard lens, & a few backs.

I have used an old Hasselblad & loved the pictures I got. Before I go

out & purchase a new MF setup, I want to exclude large format from

consideration. Most of my photography is landscape, & I don't think I

will mind the somewhat more cumbersome setup with large format. Any

opinions on which one to pursue from a hobby standpoint? Also, where

is the large format forum? Any recs on large format cameras/lenses for

field - landscape?

Having sporadically used an old Hasselblad camera with std lens, I

love the format & all-mechanical nature of the system. I don't have

access to this camera anymore & am going thru MF withdrawal. I have

decided to get a Hassy 500CW body (new), but am uncertain which lens

would be best. Most shots are landscape, with occasional pics of my

young kids. Any advice on lens? I've read that many like the 150mm

for landscape. Also, I don't want to pay for a Hassy meter/prism at

this time; any recs on handheld meters? The old Hassy had a meter on

the winder.
