  1. Hi,

I have both lenses, 24-105 f4 (v 1 & II) & the 24-70 f4, and use them all a lot. I am surprised that no one mentioned the wonderful MACRO feature of the 24-70 f4. That is one feature that helps tip it for me. Also, I am trying to save my aching neck these days, and the compact size of that lens helps a lot. Having a choice is best IMO. These are both really useful glass IMO.

    So long for now, Tom

  2. All,

    Thanks for all the comments,

Right now time and space are tight, and I was looking to do a mass removal to gain space in my cabinet.

    This comment hit home...

my gut feeling is that few of them actually sell.

I may just box them up and put them in the attic for a time in the future when paper is a curiosity?

    So long for now, Tom

  3. Hi all,

Is anyone else out there using the HPZ3100 along with Corel Painter X? If so, I'm sure you've found that

the profiles are named automatically by the printer, and...

[ASIDE: I find this annoying because the names are too long including a extra long printer name which is

not important to me, and awkward and cannot be controlled, "HPZ" would suffice.]

BUT...the real problem is that Corel Painter X (unlike Photoshop CS3) is failing to get the profile name right

and instead is displaying "none none" or "HPPS HPPS" instead of profile names created by the printer. This

is terrible. Corel said it had something to do with a resource being blank.

BRAINSTORM: On a "test profile" I have tried using Apple ColorSync Utility to change resources involving

Profile names, like Localized Names and ASCII Text strings (replacing "none" found in quotes with the

profile name, but "none none" or "HPPS HPPS" remains the profile name no matter what I have done in

ColorSync Utility. SO THESE TESTS FAILED.

Can anyone help me, Corel and HP appear to be cross with each other, and I'm stuck in the middle.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks, and so long for now, TOM
