I bought a couple of Pocket Wizard Plus II's a while back and have not had time to try them out much yet. Tonight I got them out and put one on my D300 and hooked another to a SB-900 and I could not get it to flash. I've tried just hitting the Test button on the PW and, the ready light flashes on the SB-900, but no flash. I also got out one of my SB-800's and tried it and I get the same result. The PW's seem to be communicating fine also because when I hit Test on one, the light flashes on the other. I've tried different PW's, cables, new batteries... I'm stumped.

This updated version doesn't have the SB-800 info any more. Do you know if that is still available?
Thank you, Bill

I want to switch to rechargeable batteries for my Nikon SB-900 and don't have a clue as to what I need to be looking for. Is there a preferred brand, or does that matter? Low discharge or Regular? Anything I want to look for or avoid? Any help would be appreciated.

I was wondering if Phillip resolved the problem and what the issue was?

Philip,
You can see your Owners Manual here
http://www.nikonusa.com/pdf/manuals/noprint/D700_noprinten.pdf
On page #410 It says:(It shows the "triangle"F)
Problem:"No lens attached, or non-CPU lens attached without specifying maximum aperture. Aperture shown in stops from maximum aperture."
Solution: "Aperture value will be displayed if maximum aperture is specified."
Could your lens just not be locked into the body?
HTH... William

Although I'm using PSCS3 I assume it is basically the same. In Bridge, Go into Edit, Preferences, and you can set File Type Associations there. Make sure that .jpeg is set to open with PSCS.
