This tree must had made an impact last year. This is the second year
this 'tree' is put up for the Christmas season. I was not able to
capture the entire tree last Christmas with my 18-55mm lens.

Performers in Malaysia has taken this art form to new heights. This
lion had danced up to the tallest pole and is imitating a cat's
curiousity look.

Thanks Alec. I am scheduling to do this again later in the year like Dec when the sky is very clear.
Thanks for the advise. Will try to wait until darker but not black. Hopefully I can still retain the details and color of the trees.

Alex,
I have done this type of perspective correction and it always does injustice to the towers' majestic height :)
KLCC is a very difficult building to shot. As you had experienced any shot within short walking distance and full sight of the entire tower presents perspective distortion. Suggestions for your future trips. 1. Cross the KLCC park to the Mobil Exxon building carpark. 2. Walk along J Ampang, past Zouk towards Concorde junction (where Hard Rock is). Head for the Dang Wangi LRT station and look back.
... I am guessing you were here over the Singapore National Day weekend. KL was swamped with Singapore cars last weekend :)

The sun had just set and the lights of the city were just been turned
on. This famous landmark is majestic at any angle and at any time of
the day. Shown here it is towering over a National Bank.

It's early morning HangZhou. Hundreds of two wheelers traffic jostle

Appreciate the critiques.
I did comtemplate after taking this shot to knee down and take another. However I sense he wasn't really sleeping or passed-out. I instinctively imagine he might jump up at me with the stick if he realised I was photographing him.

In the streets of Shanghai a vibrant expanding metropolis lies a soul
in need of help. Oblivious of his presence people with the capability
to help sidetrack their steps to avoid runn over him on a crowded
elevated pedistrian walkway

An ordinary outing and an ordinary shot of a little out of the

Only realise these windows washers when processing the image.

Jim,
Thanks. This scene is typical of the area around of West Lake, HangZhou and is one of the features of this scenic place. Low hanging branches over the water surface is very common. Many were trimmed and fashion as such. Another is lots of weeping willows with leaves touching the water surface.
I actually have one shot that zoom in and focus half the umbrella. However I did not like the mops. See this in my China roll and tell me what you think.
Thanks.

A quiet scene amongst a most popular tourist spot in West Lake,
HangZhou, China.

A few years earlier one can get arrested for taking this picture.

I found this image quite comical. A little baby lion perch between
the legs of a huge guardian lion to a Chinese temple. The temple is
called Sam Poh Temple anf is located in Brinchang one of the few
towns in Cameron Highlands, Malaysia.

Water feature in a park. Comments welcome.

One of a pair of lion guardians on top of a stairway leading to a
gazebo for tired visitors to a Chinese memorial park. I found the
colors striking. Comments welcome.

A village for the workers of a tea plantation nestled amidst a
beautiful landscape. Cameron Highlands is famous for its tea
plantation. The sceneries in the plantation is so well known that
the plantation made it a point to inform photographers that pictures
taken shall be limited for personal use. The plantation prohibits
photographs for commerical gain unless prior approval has been given.

An unusual feature in a bee farm. This religious figure is encase in
a glass cubicle.

Thanks for the comments. I actually did a parallel crop. Decided the original had a little more impact. Natural lighting was very low.

These buddhist monks are engrossed in 'painting' a sand mandala.
This art requires intense concentration. Unlike actual painting
there's practically no room for a repaint as the painting progress
outwards.
-
This fierce looking manequin is advertising the cool looking sun
shades. I found it very captivating.
Feel free to comment.

These are the 'brush and paint' use by buddhist monks to create
beautiful Mandala art. The process of 'painting' is a combination of
intense concentration and stamina. A mandala 'paint' can take up to
a couple of days to complete with up to 4 monks at any one time with
standby monks rotating to continue when one is exhausted.
After all the laborious work the painting is on display no more than
a day before it's wash away.

The booth design of this F1 and the building structure gives this
scene and almost surreal science fiction space station effect.
Picture will be excellent if a Ferrari F1 car is displayed.
