  1. Ok I see, I knew there was something fishy going on:)

So if i understand this correctly, i can do up to 32 sec exposures, but longer and bulb than that I need the cord right?

I dont need the cord for up to 32 sec?

For regular photography when using flashes and radioslaves I use the normal values on the lens, ie set the fstop and shutter on the lens itself as normal?

And wehn shooting like this, what should the expsoure time setting in the menu be on? Is there like a default in those options or anything like that?

    Thanks for the help guys!=)

  2. Hello,

I just got my hands on a very nice 503 CWD for a few days.

Got a question though, i was out shooting nightshots yesterday and i had a hard time getting the exposure i wanted.

Cant I set the lens on bulb and shoot as i would on an analog hassy?

It seemd that I had to go inside the menu under system setting i think and choose an exposure time there, then

choose the fstop like normal on the lens. can somebody explain why this is?....or is it? I didnt have any options for

    Bulb.

anything important i should know about before using the cwd that is different from using the analog?like exposure

method, using synccord and so on....

I have start reading the manual but thank for any help i can get here. I kinda wanne shoot while i have it,dont read a

    manual.

Thank you for any tip and help!

  3. Ive looked at the Hasselblad D40 flash and It looks great, but will

It work together with a 500C/M and a regualar CF lens? Ive read that

you need the CFE lens with built in TTL for it to work. Is there a

easy way to work around that?

If not or anyway, Is there any other good flashes and not to

    expensive for me to use?

    Thanks for any help!

  4. You should check out the CanoScan 9900F. Maybe It's a bit over your budget, but It's a great scanner for both 35mm and MF. Ive scanned all the photos in my portfolio here on photo.net with It and Im very happy with the results. It can scan up to two 6x6 negatives at the time and can scan up tp 3200dpi. Check it out!
  5. There are alot of photographers which use Hasselblad for shooting both snowboarding and alot of skateboarding. These sports are very fast moving, but Hasselblad seems to do a great job. Most og these photographers use either the 200 or 2000 series for it's high shutter and 30mm lens posibility. I would say Hasselblad work great for sports also.

You can check out www.atibaphoto.com for excellent results on Hasselblad used in fast moving skateboarding.

  6. Hello,

Im pretty keen on getting a fisheye lense (which covers the whole

frame) on my upcoming Hassy 500CM. Is there such thing as a fisheye

lense for the 500 series? If no, what's the widest lense you can get

on it? If yes, what type of lense is it? Prices?

Ive found It hard to even find fisheye lenses for the Hasselblad, so

few brands to even choose from! Any help would be great.

    Regards,

    Marius S.

  7. Great, thanks for the help so far. Looks like the 501C/M have some advantages! You said the 500CM can have problems when shooting at the sun or bright light, does that mean bright studio light to or will that most likely be ok? And the 501C/M cant do long exposures? I thought almost all the Hasselblad cameras could do that? You mean long exposures like when car lights just look like red or white lines? And Isnt that called "B" on a camera? Sorry if im asking much, not that good with all the details yet:)

One last question, Is the Mamiya RZ67 PROII a good camera compared to the 501CM from Hasselblad? I just found that the lenses are alot cheaper for the Maimya.

    Thanks!

  8. Hi!

I cant really make up my mind since Im pretty new with this, but Ive

found a few Hasselblad 500CM which I can afford, but Ive also found a

few 501CM which I can afford with a little more saving, but what do I

get If I choose the 501CM which I dont get with the 500CM? Will I get

better picture quality with the 501CM?

If somebody could please tell me the main different I would be very

thankfull. Im guessing I wont be disapointed with the 500CM anyway,

    but would like to know:)

    Have a great day!

  9. I was wrong, or I looked wrong. KEH dont seem to have any used 501 CM cameras, they only have the 500 CM model, how Is that compared to the 501 CM?

Im maybe going for the RZ67 now at KEH, I looked at the lenses and they had a great fisheye for it which dont create vignetting to a good price and the actual RZ67 outfit dont cost more then the 500 CM.

    What do you guys think?

  10. thanks for that insight. Im really set on the Hasselblad 501 CM setup as Ive found It to fit my budget and I really trust Hasselblad for it's known quality. Ive been filming skateboarding for some time know, but when It comes down to photography Im more into doing portraits shot's for sure. Im feeling the RZ67 alot to know since you guys have givin It a good word so will have that as a very possible option.

Also, Is KEH Camera Brokers a safe place to deal from? Ive found some deals there on the 501 CM which Im very likly going to check out.

    thanks

  11. Ok, great Douglas. I really thank you for your help. You have helped narrow my choice alot. I reeally dont need a motor in my future MF, but I was just wondering. Would be pretty cool! Im gonne take a closer look at the RZ67 which you recomended and I'll be sure to post some more pictures here soon from whatevere camera I might buy.

Im still gonne use the Holga often though, in love with that little plastic beast!

    take care and thanks again!

  12. Sorry for that, I really like taking photos of nature and people so mostly that. Not any studio photography. Maybe some sports photography like skateboarding. Shooting up to 6 fps would be a plus because I want to take some sequence's, but its not a must at all.

Im guessing people/portraits will be my thing, maybe some arcitecture and stuff like that.

  13. I did found some Hasselblad cameras which was within my pricerange at keh.com. I think I can push my budget to $900-1000. If you guys could take a look also at www.keh.com then Hasselblad and I looked in Camera Outfits.

    Is this model good: 500C WITH WAISTLEVEL, 80 F2.8 C CHROME, A12 BACK ?

    Or this:

500CM BLACK LATE WITH WAISTLEVEL, RAPID WINDING CRANK, 80 F2.8 C T*BLACK (B50), A12 WITH BLACK DOT RELEASE

These was all within my budget.

  14. Thanks Richard,

I looked at ebay.com for some Rollei cameras and I found some that Is in my price range which seemd very good. Im including some links to some of the models and auctions I looked at. If you wcould take a look and give me some advice on each of them to go for or stay away from It would be to alot of help.

    Thanks again!

  15. Hello fellow photo.net members,

I have some question to you IF you think you can help me out. Im just

done reading stuff around the site on what camera to get and I havent

really gotten any smarter or closer to a desition.

Ive been shooting on a snappy little Holga 120 SF which I really like

and I think the mediumformat is the best, but I really wanne step it

up and invest In a "real" camera. Not a plastic "toy" which though

takes really cool pictures I think.

I havent been shooting single photos for to long at all, but Im very

experienced with film as Ive been shooting a fair amount of 16mm as

well as the old upcoming super 8mm format.

Anyway, back to the subject, I want to invest In a good camera as I

mentioned. New or used, dosent matter as long as It is in perfect

working condition. And Im gonne buy a "beginner" camera since Im a

little new on photocameras, thats just stupid as Im gonne replace it

very soon after and I'll have to buy another camera. My budget aint

the biggest so that's maybe all I can afford as this moment, well so

be it. That's kinda what I wanted to ask some of you people here.

I have about $700-800 to use on this and I would really liked a

mediumformat camera because Its really my favorite to shoot with(i

have shot with 35mm and cameras before, but really havent got to much

into it as I am now, great fun!). If anyone could recomend one for me

in my pricerange I would be very greatfull, It can be in used

    condition.

I am also intrested in 35mm cameras (not digital, not so fun for me),

but if so Im very keen on it to have the possibility to shoot alot of

fps and be a camera which is I easly can get lenses for like

    fisheye/wideangle lenses and so on.

By the way, just wondering, what lense is to suggest for a Hasselblad

If I really want a wide (fisheye) picture, 160 degrees ++?? And cost?

I hope this wasent to much and I wil be very thankfull for all help!

    -take care
