Thank you Radu for the comment. Good question, indeed. Originally I tried to get the effect by moving the camera, which turned out to be more difficult than expected to obtain a smooth satisfactory result. It is so much easier to control to use the photoshop buttons. Cheers, Dieter

Thanks Mike for the comment. You mention a crucial point. The original is of course less saturated, but the general tendency seems to be that people prefer stronger colors. It is difficult to judge what is natural, it depends on the personal perception

Thanks for the comment, Matt. At first sight the foreground looks simply noisy, but if one looks closer one can see it is a vineyard. I shall try to work this out somewhat more clearly
  1. Thanks Rosario. This was the idea, I was only afraid that on the reduced scale of the picture as presented here the persons would not be rekognizable at all. Nowadays there would be no people at all, the central Sahara is practically off limits for tourists. Dieter

Since in the new photonet system there is no button, at least I cnnot find it, to add explanations to the picture, I am using the comment form.

This is the famous view of the Pudong skyline, presented in a more skyish way.

You are certainly right, Kenneth. There are two different off-center shots of the same object in my folder "landscaes". What I liked with this one was just the bluish hue of the center part. Thanks for your comment. Dieter

Thanks for the comment Leslie. You are right, I could have cropped the picture somewhat more on the bottom and the sides. I probably found  the blurred patches - I don't remember what it was - not uninsteresting as contrasting structures, also for their colors

Thanks for your comments. Yes this a frozen lake, the königssee in the bavarian alps. The lake is very deep, it therefore freezes only every 20 years or so, and, because of climate change, probably never again
