I found this curious little fella lounging along a forest trail. Totally weird
and unexpected find! I couldn't pass by without taking a shot.

What do you think of this shot? I was struck by the alien look of this
squat lobster on the drying sediment.

Thanks for checking out this shot. I really appreciate your comments.

Thanks for having a look.

Thanks for having a look. C&C appreciated. Cheers.

I found these branches at the base of a waterfall. The mist from the falls coated everything with an amazing layer of ice. Very cool. Do you think that removing the angled stick in the background would improve this shot? Thanks for having a look. Cheers.

Comments, critiques much appreciated. I took this shot from an
icebreaker in Beaufort Sea in the Canadian Arctic. A truly amazing
experience!!

...Sam for commenting on this shot. The blue colour of the ice below the surface was truly amazing. It sure brightened up this scene. Cheers.

A grey day in the Beaufort Sea.

I took this shot from an ice-breaker steaming through the ice in the
Beaufort Sea. There was a fog over the ice and the sun was low on the
horizon. The patterns made by the ice were amazing. Thanks for
looking.

I came across this wooden grave marker for some murdered merchants
in the ghost town of Quesnel Forks in the Chilcotin. Quesnel Forks was
a booming gold rush town in the late 1800s. Thanks for having a look.
Cheers.

Farwell Canyon in evening light. Very cool hoodoos along the Chilcotin
River.

I was attracted to this scene by the mist on the pond and the orange
light caused by all the smoke from nearby forest fires. C&C always
appreciated.

Thanks for looking/commenting.

Just messing around with signs and shutter speeds while hiking in the
rainforest. Cheers.

...Kim for your comment, I really appreciate it. I hadn't noticed the green frost, but looking at it again, I see what you mean. I think I will make that a photoshop project once I get (and learn to use!) the program.

Experimenting with long exposures. I am happy with this shot, but it
would have been great if the sky was cloudy to add some drama and
motion there. Thanks for having a look.
