Thanks for being bold John. I'll certainly consider you thought of doing it as part of a sequence. If I were to give it marks I would probably have given it the other way to your marks. Asthestics 4-5 Tech 5 (she was walking past me at the time, I have about 5000 shots similar to this, this is the only sharp one of her eyelashes!)

One of the better ladybird shots that I have seen. Great Bokeh. The little bit of discoloured petal under the beetle just stops it from being a 7 for me. But I do think it very good.

For some reason I quite like this shot. The highlights are blown the

blacks are muddy, the lighting is harsh, but I still like it. Go figure!

Lovely shaft of light. For me it would be better without the man in the middle of the frame, It ditracts from the rest of the photo which is very good.

Hi James,

I see your points, but I would say that you have so many better pics in your portfolio, much better in my opinion. This is just not to my taste but alot of your work is. And just because it isn't to my tastes doesn't mean that others won't like it. I hope you didn't take my criticism to hard. I always say what I see. In fact looking at your portfolio you have many photos I wouldn't hesitate in giving 6s and 7s to. Just not this one!!

This interesting in the fact that you have concentrated on the leaf instead of the flower. This makes for an attractive and different comp. I also like the water droplets.

a Really good execution. There is nothing really wrong with this photo. but it misses out on 7's because it doesn't hold the attention very long.

The photograph is pin sharp, and well exposed. The composition needs a lot of work though. There are lots of distractions in the photo and the subject is not particularly exciting, but good attempt.
