Although Egypt has more of them, there is one wonderfully illuminated
in my home town, too.

Chris. It's already the second time I have such a rater.
While I was looking through my rates, I couldn't find yours. Can it be, that you forgot to rate or is it a system error, that it's not shown?
-
Marco. I know there will always be such raters. There was a discussion about such on one of my other photographs. Can't remember which one it was, but I can tell, that I had many supporters like you. ;)

Dance scene from "The Night of the Dance".
The uploaded image is not as sharp and bright as the one on my
harddrive. :(
Constructive critiques are always welcome.

for your comments. I tried around a bit by changing crop and colors, but this version I liked best. I loved the contrast of the upper dark and right part and the bright reflection.
I also tried to adjust the color of the stumps, but I finally left the photo as it was taken - without any digital editing - but sharpening after compression.
Then I tried another crop, too, but the stumps did not come out well. They looked so huge with a tighter crop.
Anyway, thanks a lot for your suggestions. I might post another version ... some time later. ;-)

Also Bavaria has its wonderful sunsets, but I miss the real snow
here. What you see in the picture is about all we had this winter.
Constructive critiques and comments are always welcome.
Thanks for looking.

is a great place to take good shots. This is a really good one. I love how the road divides the scene and the colors as great, too.
Really good shot.

Tree stumps that got their coloring during innundation and showed up
in this blue-gray color when the waterlevel dropped.
Constructive critiques and comments are welcome.
Thanks.

A small cemetary above the city of Limone at Lago di Garda in Italy.
Diffuse light added to the cemetery.

Another version of leaves in the water.

... as it is done with this photo works for me in this case. Just these colors give it a special touch. Although I prefer softer colors, they are great in this case.

It was a wonderful sunny day with sparkling snow and the fog in the
background made this scene look like a fairyland. The sun setting
behind the mountain range, gave the scene its final touch.
I hope you enjoy it, too.
Any constructive critiques and comments are welcome.

that I digitally altered this photo, in order to make it look like a stairway into another world.
Anyway, I would love your comments, constructive comments, what's wrong with this photo.
Looking forward to them.

Seen at the famous Père Lachaise cemetery in Paris.

Reminiscents from last fall a few inches below water level.

in a wonderful series. I love them all, but I think this one ist really the best.
Great gray tones, nice play with lights and shadows, good crop. The green eyes perfectly fit the delicate color of the lips.
In my eyes a perfect photo.
-
It really looks great. Warm gray tones and smooth shadows, the hand that stands out of the frame and the red bra. It's simply perfect.
-
Constructive comments welcome. Thanks for looking.

This one is really perfect. There's nothing that could improve this photo. Focus is perfectly set, crop is the same. The black and white and the red sweater. Simply perfect.

Constructive Critiques Welcome. Thanks for viewing.
It's an overflow channel of the Bavarian river Inn at a moody sunset
in winter.
-
This is really a great shot and would be a 6(A) and 6(O) photo for me, if you had another frame (the white in the frame is a little too hard. Why don't you try a smaller white? I think that would look a lot better) and it's a little blurred. So for aestetics I can give only a 5.

Winter on the river Isar in Munich seen from the Schindersteg (wooden
bridge).

This small cemetery above the city of Limone at Lake Garda in Italy,
seemed to me like the entrance to another world. I left only the
cemetery in color, to emphasize the "entrance to the other world".
To enhance this mood I used a diffuse filter. Constructive comments
are welcome. Thanks.

a lot Darren. I'm really glad you like it that much.

Thanks a lot and sorry I answer only today. I did not visit photo.net for almost 3 months now, too busy :(.
I think you are right, they were more dancers than lovers, but as far as I remember it was a love dance from the musical "Johnny".
