  1. The building of brick, which I think of as being so strong and permanent, framed against the gathering clouds, which I think of as wispy and insignificant. The clouds look like they are ready to overwhelm the building! The one odd element is the telephone pole - or maybe it is meant to be there as an element? Wonderful color tones which are very uniquely yours.

Nice and sharp. His fur coat stands out nicely even in the reduction. Nicely framed. Although the grass gives an indication of his height it might be less distracting without it. Nice composition.

It is amazing how the water has changed the texture of the feather. I like the contrast of the smooth suppleness of the feather w/ the smooth hardness of the stones.

Our bees are black and yellow - nice to see something from across the ocean!

BTW - have you ever tried to use continuous drive when shooting bees? For me it has made an enormous difference when trying to get pictures of them flying.

  2. I like the intensity she puts into her task. The fact that you were teasing her makes it seem like she is going on about her business in spite of you. Very nicely captured. Square gives it a certain stability - Nicely presented!

You seem to have a knack for finding art in man's intermingling with nature. These things usually make me angry. Perhaps this is not the correct response. Perhaps I should use them as a lever for learning and seeing. Thanks!

Nicely composed, wonderful sky and water. It seems that the boat is the center of attention, yet the details are very hard to see - perhaps try dodging - or else masking off the boat and applying selective curves? The shot is very well put together - better than most would do. In looking through your folder you have a very good eye for photography.
  3. The more I come back to look at this photo the more I am drawn to it. It has suc a neat tension - the quiet, rapt attention of the silohette observers vs the colored active playing of the musicians. Very original - I will remember where I saw it first!

I like the 'aliveness' of the eyes - and the joy in the smile. Moving down to her level may make the photo more intimate. Nicely framed and composed.
