  1. I'm having the same problem: The autofocus mirror was staying down, and when I got it to pop up, it stayed up, so I lost Autofocus.

I'm going to attempt to fix it myself. I was already attempting to fix it myself yesterday, but I didn't know what exactly was missing. I thought it was a pin of some sort, as there is a notch in the lever for the autofocus mirror, but that link above confirms it. We'll see if I regret this.

  2. I saw the thread title and thought "are people sending in pictures of

their copier/scanner at work?" It took me a second to figure out

what i was looking at, but that is pretty funny. Rarely does this

site make me laugh out loud. Luckly my cubicle is somewhat sound-

proof. Don't worry, this isn't animal cruelty, it is feline

harassment which is a much less serious charge.

  3. No offense, but some people above seem to think that "Outsider Art"

means art that is outside. Wikipedia: The term Outsider Art was

coined by art critic Roger Cardinal in 1972 as an English synonym for

Art Brut (which literally translates as "Raw Art" or "Rough Art"), a

label created by French artist Jean Dubuffet to describe art created

outside the boundaries of official culture; Dubuffet focused

particularly on art by insane asylum inmates.

While Dubuffet's term is quite specific, the English term "Outsider

Art" is often applied more broadly, to include certain self-taught or

Naïve art makers who were never institutionalized. Typically, those

labeled as Outsider Artists have little or no contact with the

institutions of the mainstream art world and they often employ unique

materials or fabrication techniques. Much Outsider Art illustrates

extreme mental states, unconventional ideas, or elaborate fantasy

    worlds.<div>00HG61-31120784.jpg.ae13a8a1e6a938dacf01fc8b1773fdcd.jpg</div>
