<p>I'll visit Arras in France for a couple of days in September. Any photo ideas around Arras (not in the town)? I'd like to visit the countryside around it. Any good locations and how can I get around? Do I need to rent a car or a bycylcle will be god enough? I checked the car rentals there and found most of the cars are manual shift and very expensive.<br>

I will fly from Atlanta all the way to Canberry and stay there for three days. I was debating with myslef whether to cut the one day trip to Blue Mountain near Sydney to save one more day in SI.</p>

Basically I'll drive to the spot and walk around, take some pictures, then either leave or stay the night.<br />I'll spend one night at a motel hald way between Te Anau and Mildford. I'm not sure about the cruise. Probablly I can take better pictures on land and on the way. I'll spend a night at Fox Glacier and take a flight to Mount Cook if I have time .<br />Again thank you all for your valuable information.</p>

<p>I'll travel to Australia nex March and plan to spend 5 days in SI of NZ. I know it's a very short stay so I just concentrate on a few places. Here is my plan:<br>

Day 1 Sydney-->Queenstown(arriving at2:15pm) stay at Queenstown<br>

Day 2 Queenstown-->Mildford Sound stay at Milford (or Te Anau ?)<br>

Day 3 Milford-->Queenstown-->Arrow Town-->Lake Wanaka stay at Wanaka<br>

<strong> or: Milford-->Arrow Town stay at Arrow Town</strong><br>

Day 4 Wanaka/Arrow Town-->Fox Glacier+Franz Josef stay at Fox Glacier<br>

Day 5 Fox Glacier/Mount Cook-->Queenstown--Sydney flight at 5:15PM<br>

I'll be there from March 5-9. Will Milford and Fox Glacier be cold at that time? Milford is very wet in March?<br>

How about Mount Cook and Fox Glacier?<br>

<p>I'll be in Vancourver for 4 whole days . I will rent a car from Seattle on the 30th and drive to Vancourver and leave on April 4. I'm interested in landscape photography, more so in natural landscape. Any idea? People say Victoria island is very beautiful. How far is it? Is one day enough? I'll stay in a hotel in Vancourver with my wife so I have to come back to Vancourver each day. Thanks.</p>

<p>I'll see my granddughter in mid October. I'll stay in Fremont. During my stay there I'll spend three days visiting Yosemite and Mono Lake. Any recommendations? I am thinking of going to Mono Lake first and spend one night over there. Then come back to Yosemite and spend one night there. I'm looking for photo opportunities, particularly the sunrise and sunset points in the two places. Also any suggestions for the accommodation, I only need a place close and clean to the park. Yes, I will go to Big Sur and Hearst Carstle with my family as well as the area around San Francisco.</p>

<p>During this Christmas period, I'll visit CA. I'll stay with my family in Fremont. I'm thinking of spending two days alone to visit and photogragh Mono Lake. Is it right time to visit it? Is the road accessible during this time of the year? Any other suggestions besides Mono Lake. I'm flexible.<br>

Since I'll be with my family and a pregnant daughter-in-law, I'm not planning to take any hard trip. I'm not sure if we can see much in Yosemity during this time of the year.
