This is a piece of amber sea glass (about 1 inch in width). The colors
arise because I am using crossed polarizing filters.

This is a long exposure. I held blue plastic over the lens, paused,
moved the camera to a different angle and held orange plastic over the
lens.

Please critique.

This is a macro shot of a fluorite crystal that is being lit by a red
and a green light from two different directions.

A contact sheet of studio shots of shapes made from neodynium sphere
magnets.

A string of shiny spherical magnets is disturbed in a 2 second (or so)
exposure. An orange flash was also used.

Andreas, the tube is composed of sphere magnets which is a fun little toy. You can make different shapes with them. I made them into a tube and experimented with different ways of lighting them. I set this shot up in my "studio" in my apartment.

The subject in the lower left corner is a piece of pyrite (fool's
gold) about 1.5 inches long. A red laser is shining on the pyrite
from the top left from outside the frame. The pyrite is resting on a
piece of white paper and the reflections from the laser are hitting
this paper screen.

Simple shot: Piece of foil + yellow, blue and red lights.

This is looking down a tube of sphere magnets. There is a mirror at a
slight angle at the end of the tube giving the appearance of a change
of direction. Please compare to the similar shot with a shallower
depth of field and tighter crop located in the same folder. Thanks!

This is a macro shot of a fluorite crystal, looking down a tetrahedral
tip (the triangle).

I scanned a digital clock at a high resolution (so the scanner moved
slowly accross the flatbed) while holding down buttons that changed
the time. The bars are artifacts of this process. The image is
photoshopped to increase contrast.

This is a composite of 5 scans of bubbles of windex over a period of
about a minute overlaid on one another and offset.
