1. The reason I started this thread was because as many with my 580Ex on ETTL I seem to get exposures all over the place, so I am going to start shooting everything in Manual and work on footage to subjects. It has been much more accurate in my testing. The gowns will tell me alot more after this weekends 2 weddings. In manual flash I am getting more punch out of the camera when needed.
2. Are there any companies out there like Candid 2000 where you drag and drop

images to make composites. What are the most popular companies. I use candid

2000 for my 10X10 composite books but 10X15 would have to be custom composites

and that takes a good deal of time. So I am looking for a company that has

10X15's already created and just drag and drop . Any help would be great!!!

3. Hi all, I just finished my website and was wondering what I should do with it.

I would love all opinions as far as to how get my site out there. I have been

in the business for 15 years in CT. but never had a website. I do 5 bridal

shows a year and that helps. Anybody here advertise on any of the powerful

vendor wedding sites like the knot? How do you do with them? Thank you very

much for any info!!!! Also do you use a banner ad with other vendors in you

area?

4. Hi all, Hope you can help me understand what is going on. I am a wedding

photographer who recently went digital and use a Canon 20D. I am shooting in

Large Fine JPEG format ONLY and using 1GB Sandisk Ultra. When I formated the

card and shoot at ISO 200 in manual ONLY, it said I get 261 shots. I shot

entire wedding in MANUAL at ISO 200 and wanted to shoot 200 PROOFS. So when

the camera told me I have 61 left from 261 I knew I had my 200 but it felt

like forever to get down to 61. When I had proofs developed my official count

was 282 Proofs. Now why is that. I shot everything in same modes. I saw that

when changing ISO to 400 I would get less picks Understood, but that was not

done. Why am I getting so many more images than the counter tells me? Please

help me to understand. This is the 2nd wedding with 20D and i am shooting 80

pics more than I should, but I just couldn't tell. Thanks so much for any help.Moved from Wedding Forum. Please post in proper forum.

5. My set-up is a Canon Elan llE, vivitar 283 flash and a canon of

camera cord2 so that I can get that flash on my stroboframe grip.

This is what I did and it's fine but I always worry about

electronics.I attached the safe sync right onto the camera which

doesnt bother me since the safe sync only has a single prong. What

scares me is the second connection. The top part of the safe sync to

the Canon off camera cord.Since the safe sync has a single prong on

top but other metal area exposed I was afraid that the off camera

cord which has 5 prongs might touch and cause problems. I taped down

4 prongs on the cord to be safe just using the center prong. The top

connection is no problem. I hope this is correct. I want to be able

to use this off camera cord. On the safe sync is a flash tester buton

and it is firing the flash and the camera is also firing perfectly.

Does this seem the right thing to have done considering I'm using the

canon off camera cord2 Any help would be awesome. Do any of you use

this Canon cord and a Safe Sync?

6. Hi everyone, I am using a vivitar 283 and want to use the safe sync

to for safety of voltage problems. I have the Elan ll,canon off

camera cord2, and use a stroboframe grip. My question is how exactly

do you set up the safe sync? Does it go directly on the camera and

then the off camera 2 cord on top? I'm confused? Thanks for any help!!

7. Thank you to all, Jim as far as the 6volt lumedynes go.I shoot a full wedding, 240 pictures with 2 packs and have a third just in case. I love these batteries and they tell you percentage on the dime. 75.3 percent etc. Each flash fire knocks out about 4 tenths of 1 percent and there nice and light with a bright led readout. I will look into that module #. Thanks a million everyone
8. Yes I have tried all combinations and put it on another camera with no off camera cord. Last night I put a brand new 283 and it didn't miss a shot in 240 frames.I want to know why they stop working in such a short amount of time. I thought they were work horses? Anyway It's time for me to get ready for another wedding and I'm pooped from yesterdays.
9. Hi everyone, It's Halloween and am about to leave for a wedding

shoot, but a question before I go. I shoot fully manual with my Elan

llE and a vivitar 283. I use the canon off camera shoe cord and my

vivitar is powered by a quantum module cord connected to a lumedyne

digital battery. For some reason my flash after about 10 weddings

starts to fail.3shots flash and than 2 won't. It might be a voltage

problem and I always have the 283 on full power. Anyway I am sick of

283 problems so I am asking all of you. I want to start shooting

FULLY automatic, camera as well as flash. What would be the best flash

for wedding work and what quantum module # would it take if any.

Thanks so very very much Jeff G Elite Studios
