Nice composition and very original! Love it. I am not a great photographer, but if I may: I would improve the white balance to make the bird whiter. It is greyish!

I agree. I should have used a smaller aperture than what I had used here. The pollen stem isn't sharp. Thanks for you constructive criticism

If you look carfully, you will see light in the background. I had my som hold a flash light behind the flowere when I took this picture.

This is unreal. It looks like your mirror lockup many not be working well. From the picture, it appears thet you are on a slow shutter speed. Mirror lock up may me a problem in your camera. Test it out. Try in a dark background, as is was the case in the pic, shoot a few still life with slow shutter speeds and then on high. You may be able to see the problem again, if indeed mirror is the problem. IF you reporduce it, exchange your camera.

Nice capture. One can never anticipate such events. Setting you camera on f11 while taking nature phototgphs, would help with unexpected moments. What I am getting at is, if the background was also in focus, this would be a great picture

This is mystique picture. It appears like a dance from the Indian (Hindu) mythology of Mahabaratha, of Lord Krishna. I wish I could see more of the face. Great shot nevertheless.
