    Geometry

          1

    Hi

Mostly I prefer shooting macro/nature shots. This is one of my first

attempts at architecture. I was drawn by the mix of geometric shapes.

Comments on how you think it looks/hangs together or could be

    improved upon would be appreciated.

    Bluebells

    Hi

Any thoughts on this for colour, composition etc. I shot it on

Tuesday evening in near darkness - using flash, diffuser & reflector

(and the breeze still hadn't died down!)

    Paddles up

    Hi

I shot this last May at the 'Liquid Life' whitewater festival (Held

every year near Pitlochry). It was one of a 100 or so shots that I

took to learn and improve my sports photography. Sadly - one of only

20 or so that I was happy with. What do you think?

    Whitewater fun

Hi! This was shot at the Liquid Life Whitewater Festival that is

held near Pitlochry in Scotland in May each year. It is a great

photo shoot opportunity as the river is narrow and acecsible at many

interesting points with loads of Kayakers participating in numerous

events. This is at the bottom of the last fall as the river drops

into Loch Faskally. Any comments folks?

This is so unusual. Very well done! I like it a lot as it combines two of my favourite subjects - bugs and flowers.

    Winter Fungi!

Hi! This has been the warmest (and wettest) Winter in Scotland in my

memeory (I'm 45). I usually shoot fungi like this from late August

through to the end of September. Comments and critiques for

    improving upon this welcomed.

    Hi

I'm keen to improve my photos of birds. Time doesn't allow me the

opportunity to wait it out 'in the field'. This was shot at a

falconry centre as the bird landed on the Falconers hand. Comments

    and critiques appreciated.

    Translucent

    Hi

One of my earlier attempts at a flower 'portrait' - taken in the

wild (outdoors) in a country park near my house. Any suggestions on

what I could have done differently that might have improved this?

I love the composition and detail in this shot. I'd agree with Annie that it is a bit dark - maybe a little fill flash or use of a reflector would have helped light the butterfly and avoid blowing out the highlights in the background flower. Still like the shot! Well done!

    After the rain

    Hi

Took this after a Spring shower in my local wood. Any comments on

how I could improve it in terms of composition, exposure etc. Your

    views are appreciated. Thanks
