I use a lot of products that would be used in your $30,000 car. For bellows I have been using Turtle Wax F21 super protectant it restores both leather, vinyl and plastic. Use Q-tips and apply sparingly use a couple of coats if needed.

I have the E-500 and that is what it is remove the lens hood and it will go away.

Did you try what we call a power on reset as stated above?

Not sure if this will work with your camera or not but it is a easy try. Turn it off, remove the battery, remove the lens, remove the memory cards wait 5 minutes put it all back together and turn it on. Also try different cards and lens. You may also need to reload the firm ware.

Can the 285 be connected to the E-500 safely (over voltage?)

I have not had this problem with a E-500 but give this a try. Turn the camera off remove the battery, make sure your battery is good (recharge it) remove the memory card/s, remove the lens. Make sure all electrical contacts are clean. Put the camera back together if this does not work try a different battery, lens, card. Best of luck.

I have both SQA and SQAI and like the SQA better just for the fact that the battries last longer and the SQA will fire at 1/500 even with dead battries.
