I have not found a comprehensive review and critique of flash
brackets yet. I'm sure there are but I probably just haven't looked
hard enough. I am deciding between a Custom Bracket QRS-35PJ
(Photojournlism Model) and the www.reallyrightstuff.com "Perfect for
Portraits" brackets. I really like the reallyrightstuff brackets
because they are so compact and great for weddings but they are about
$500. The Custom Bracket PJ model isn't too bad either but a little
bulkier. Are there any other ones you guys can recommend that are
small and compact like these models? Thanks so much.

I am a Canon shooter, but I would recommend you go with one of Nikon's professional lenses that are comprable to the Canon L series lenses. The sharpness and contrast you get from these lenses is what will set you apart as a professional photographer and obtain great images on which your reputation will ride on. I don't know the specifics of these lenses you mentioned but you always get what you pay for....

Can anyone tell me where I can download a .pdf copy of the Canon 10D
User Manual? I tried the Canon site to no success. Perhaps it was
server problem. Thanks.

I photographed an engagement session today using a Canon 10D and
SanDisk 512MB CF card which I've owned for quite sometime without any
problems. Everything appeared fine until I got home and discovered
that card was EMPTY!! I still can't figure what went wrong. There was
no hint of any problems during the shoot. Has anyone ever experienced
this problem?

There is nothing wrong with the ones in the UK but it would probably be cheaper and quicker shipping joining one here in the states.

Are there any photography book clubs / book of the month clubs in the
US? The only ones I've seen advertised are in the UK. Thanks.

Can anyone recommend a good place for lens rental, specifically Canon
L series lenses? There is nothing near me but I figure there are
places that will ship them to you.
I am looking to get the 24-70L but would like to check it out first.
Secondly, can anyone recommend a cheaper site to buy Canon lenses and
equipment besides B&H or Adorama?
Thanks so much.

Can anyone recommend a site to buy foam for converting your suitcase
to a camera case? Thanks.

I have this lens. All I have to say is you get what you pay for. Not a bad lens but certainly not a good one either. I like it for travel because I don't want to carry other ones. However, the color is poor and telephoto end is not sharp. I agree with the previous post about slow focusing at the 300mm end and in low light conditions. If I could afford a Canon lens, I would certainly take it over this one, but given a budget, I suppose this will have to do.
