The image is of a documentary style. I love the honest composition. I think its great you are exploring photos as single events and images. It is a different thing. Most photographers do it the other way around (single then series). I actually like series photography as well. You say you start with a series in mind. Have you tried taking the single unrelated images in your portfolio or bank of images and finding commonalities with them? Its an intellectual exercise but it forces you to review each of your images compared to each other. You can learn a lot about your own photographic style that you never knew existed. I found out that I compose my portraits virtually the same way each time. It allowed me the opportunity to start breaking away from my own habits.

You think he's a little absorbed in the story?
Love it!

The reflections in these glazing unit reminds me a vintage architectural renderings from building elevations. The image s is extremely rich and I appreciate the vibrancy and complexity. This is why architects use glass.

This is wonderfully reminiscent of Flemish renaissance painting. The perspective is flat and the portrait and model's expression is perfect. The background intensity may be a bit much and is competing a bit with the subtlety of the portrait.
Regardless, well done

Each photo stands well on its own execution and composition. Not to mention a stunning model. The only comment I would have is that the top image seems overexposed when relating to the bottom image. If the background and white balace of both images matched it might be a stronger diptyc.

Good composition....
Did you lighten/burn the centre in photoshop?

of almost surreal portraiture...
The High Dynamic Range ,..., and grain works well here,..even the vignetting and colouration. It's a well manipulated image.
Besides they are a cute couple

I've never had a more perfect headache !
On sheer originality and crisp execution alone the image is brilliant

stunning capture, but the square frame works against the choice of an off-centre crop. wonderful nonetheless.

Yes Yianni it was clear with the sample you posted. You focused on the top right hand corner. I think John Galyon would suggest that all the trees including the light posts detract from the facade as well. My point is that it might be a detriment to photoshop all. The upper right hand corner is more manageable.
I will upload some more shots of this interesting building.
I think we are all confused because we are all named John ;-)
Thanks again for all the comments. It's refreshing to get constructive critique as well as ratings.
Giasou!

The lighting, model and contrast of the image is truly superbe. But what really engages me is the cropping. The simple act of placing the pose in the lower right hand corner gives the impression that the model sits in a tall but narrow space. The model is truly beautiful and her expression and serene. Finally, I seem to focus on her eyes and then I get taken up with her gaze into the black space, around and down to her knee. Great work.
