I've been an owner of a 300D for 8 months now so I'm probably going to be biased. But, what I can say is that from a creative standpoint the 300D gives you so much more to work with. I've had a good time putting together a "kit," and now I've got 3 lenses, a 28mm f2.8, a 70-200F4L (which is incredible), and a 50mmF1.8. Besides that I've purchased a flash and a tripod and have had more fun than I ever expected. The 300D really gets me out there and wanting to take pictures because the camera is such a joy to use. I wouldn't listen to all of the negative comments on button placement, lag time, etc. as I've never missed anything since I've had this camera. And for comparison purposes I previously had a Nikon N80 which was nice, but not near as versatile or fun as the Rebel. And plus, now I've got great gear that I can pass along to my next camera body. Not much more to say. Hope you decide.
