Nice interpretation of a much photographed subject.

nice symmetry

if it's a staged photo - there's a few things that keep this from being accurate - the position of the child's head for one and the angle of the mother's.

 

if it's not staged - nice eye to catch this life imitating art moment.

great composition - nice job on the crop.

i was trying to make the trumpet the center of this composition. at the time i had only the

80mm lens. the blown-out windows bleeding into the lines of the musician's face were

exactly how i had visualized them.

the funny thing is (having read the discussion about the relative virtue of the branch) it's incredibly difficult to avoid from the lot in the tunnel. you actually have to hike about 50 yds up the inspiration point trail. i definitely agree that the second posting (this one) is better.

jiri - well done again. the birds in the middle of the composition work well to highlight the interesting angles that surround. your color management is impeccable.

i appreciate the thoughtful expression on your model's face. coupled with the moody landscape and unusually bright clothing it makes a very powerful image. well done indeed.

i like what you've done here with the borders and the canvas that you've chosen. the only thing i'd like to see is more differentiation between the trees in the background and the grass. nice job.

a bit dark in the face/neck area. maybe a levels tweak would clear it up a bit. great expression.

i like the concept; i think i'd like to have the saturation punched up a bit - particularly the blues and yellows.

nice image, but it's oddly cropped.

great image. i like the fact that you took the time to go inside the canopy and choose an interesting angle. well done.
