This one's not as sharp as I'd like either even with tripod and remote release. Suggestions to help sharpen the foreground?

I really like this photo. You've used the space well. The clouds are very distinct. The pier and the clouds lead my eye into the composition and I like it being almost monochromatic with the blue of the sky adding subtle color. I also like the framing because it doesn't call attention to itself but it does show the boundries nicely. Good one! GW

I like this shot. I feel like I'm actually in the storm (just not freezing). I do wish you would have included the left side of the bridge. It looks like it's hanging out in space and that feels unnatural to me. GW

Gene, Two things strike me immediately. First, I'm not sure how I like the zig-zag of blue above the swans head. It looks pretty neat but it competes for my attention. I feel I should be looking at the swan but find I keep going back to the Z. The other thing is the swans head. Next time try and include the heads reflection in the shot. I think that would have added another dimention and would have completed the image. GW

I like the detail in the swan and the contrast between the blue and white. Too bad you lost the tip of the wing. GW

Gene, I like the feel of the image but, for me the frame distracts from the photo. I think I'd rather see crisp lines in the trees to bring the fog out more on the water.

Very nice liked it a lot, I liked the opacity of the water in the midle and the contrast to rest of the water. -- Gene A.

Gene, What I didn't like about this shot was it looked to me like there were to many things out of focus, I think the fuzzy branch's didn't help with that. I did like the color and the contrast of the red to the softer colors. -- Gene A.

I liked this one the best of the two. I think seeing the top of the post and not having the distraction of the small piece of wire on the left works better. -- Gene A.
