are they redoing the muvo2 so you can't remove the microdrive? or can u still get the muvo2 and take the microdrive out.

Last time I used the search function i was reading a post about the
settings for USM in PS that were written in a book. I can't seem to
find that same posting even though I have used the search feature so
many times. Can someone help me out or link me? I also read this
webpage that talked about applying 50% 1.4 continually until
acceptable sharpness. Is that a decent way to do things? :P I just
got a scanner and am trying to get acceptable images.

Who knows? the d70 isn't even out yet! so not much to compare other than "lenses", but as you said you don't have much yet. so just be patient and wait and see LOL.

cool. thanks. btw, i know you can't get soemthing you didn't have in the beginning. im just trying to Keyword: MIMIC it. :D

er... i would recommend the g3 over the g5, but not by much. both cameras aren't that good with CA anyways. also, where are you going to find a reputable dealer with a good price for the g3. nowhere. they don't make those things anymore. so if you get the g3, its going to be used or a ripped off price.

Is there anyone to digitally create wide angle feel using PS7? I
have this average looking image that I think would look a lot better
if it was a little bit wider because the image is kind of flat. Is
there anyway to mimic wide? Its a landscape shot by the way in
Texas. We got one day of snow :D hahaha.

do you have any FULL sample images of 35mm film? that would be really cool. and also do you have any full samples from other cheaper flatbed film scanners? :D ive been having trouble finding good examples to help me decide which scanner i want to get. i will be using the scanner for 35mm negatives and mostly for web and maybe 5x7 because eveyrone says 8x10 is stretching it. im in the 200 dollar price range.

you need to use the raw software that came with your camera !!! RAW means directly from camera, so your pc can't read it. Photoshop CS can read raw now from select cameras. next time use the search function, its much faster.

I heard some pretty bad stuff about the canon 75-300 Non-Is lens. I
was wondering how useful the lens is if I only use it to 75-200mm. I
own a canon elan 7 and a 50mm 1.8II lens. Thats it :( I don't know
how these zooms work. Im just a kid, so i can't afford all the
expensive stuff. Im thinking about persuading my parents to give me
the 28-105mm, the good one, and something a bit longer.

the 50mm 1.8 is nice. i have it, but digital crop factor of 1.5 or 1.6. thats about 75mm :( if you are considering the digital rebel, get the kit lens.

I second the Canon elan 7. They are really cheap, under $300. you won't need the eye focus stuff. Plus, you will be able to get some really cool wide angle shots.

eww... i don't like the new styling. it looks very un-Canon. :/

hm... i use a microfiber cloth, and if it is too oily, i moisten the cloth a bit or use my breath. that seems to remove the oils. unless u have a "super oily" noise.lmao. i don't think its good idea to mess around with chemicals. watch it eat right throw your camera :D just kiddin. just get a microfiber cloth. you will be impressed.

if he is a film pro as you say, why can't he just stick with film? for 300-500 its impossible to get anything decent. he's not going to have a fun time with shutter lag, af, stinky LCD. LOL

how is the build construction compared to the cheap Canon 50mm 1.8II? I have that lens, and i read everywhere about the cheapness, but it feels pretty solid for my purposes. i unno, maybe im just weird.

the i860 is more of a multipurpose photo printer. it has less ink cartridges i think because it actually has 2 black cartridges, but im not a pro, so i don't care about that much. I use it to print documents and homework, etc. :D get the other printer if all you want is to print photos. Get the i860 if u want an all-around pretty good quality text/photo printer.

ehem... Canon Elan 7. cheap, for only 300 bucks + 200-300 for film scanner + lenses (50mm 1.8II for 70 bucks) woohoo. Cheap ASs quality. plus you can get wide angle for cheap. the 28-105mm f3.5 is only 220 after shipping. film is alive i say :D, and im a teenager.
-
10d with a crop factor of 1.3 would be really cool. I don't care that much about megapixels. and they should get rid of any focus problems if any in their quality control. its too bad dslrs aren't getting much cheaper. :(
-
i used the LCD to check for sharpness, exposure, in focus or not, and i delete the ones that don't fit the criteria or i just really hate. anything that is still sharp or still "tunable" into something cool in photoshop i save. but rite now im shooting film more and more cuz its just cool.

another option is... 2000 bucks can buy you an awesome windows laptop. plus, you get compatabality with majority of software and hardware, and windows isn't any harder to use. the biggest benefit of OS X is the "COOL FACTOR." the cool factor is very important tho. :D

why not get a powerbook 12 inch? i think both the 14 inch ibook and the 12 inch screens are the same resolution, so you won't get more working space with the larger screen. plus the powerbook is smaller and is very cool looking.
