  1. I use two external Maxtor hard drives for temporarily storing images. Both are 200GB and store more than 15,000 large images. At the end of the year I burn copies to DVD's which each hold about 4.7GB.

Portable CD/DVD burners are great tools also. You can insert your media card directly from your camera after your shoot and burn the images to a CD or DVD without using your computer. They even run on AA batteries.

  2. I've been using an Epson 2200 since its inception along with Photoshop CS2, CS3

    and most recently Lightroom.

For some reason how when I go to the print que my media selections have been

reduced to only four options for paper type. Selections for GLOSSY, SEMI-GLOSS,

LUSTER, etc, ... have disappeared. There are now only four options for paper

selection: Plain paper, Enhanced Matte, Velvet Fine Art, and Watercolor, none

of which I use much if at all.

What happened here? I've written to Epson but have yet to get a response.

Any help with this would be appreciated. I've reloaded the Epson software with

    no positive results.

  3. I ALMOST got sucked into the scam. Thanks so much for this helpful advice. I have emailed probably 5 different sellers on Ebay who advertise the 1DS as low as $1,100.00. My gut feeling really took over here and realized this is just too good to be true.

I asked all the sellers their location and that I would like to have an associate pick it up at their location. None responded to this last questions.

Some of them also advertise payment terms of Money Orders,Personal Checks, and all credit cards allowed, however, in reality they only accept your hard-earned $ via money transfer.

DON'T be sucked in. Like a previous writer noted, " A 1Ds is what it is" .... and it ain't that cheap. At least not yet.

Thanks again, you may have saved my marriage !
