Thanks Koos. I agree. This does work better. In the original image there was another person off to the right who was also enjoying himself, but he was in the foreground and therefore out of focus, so I cropped him out.

I enjoy the contrast between the warm expressions of these people in
Central Park and the curious (jealous?) gaze of the two background
subjects in the bokeh.

I rented a fisheye for a day and had a lot of fun using it. Though
it's easy to create busy images when using an extreme wide angle lens
such as this one, what I do like about this shot is that the
gentleman stopped strolling in time to have his image nicely framed
by the subway structure.

The 2003 National Cyclocross Championships held in Portland, OR, was
a true test of skill and determination. This guy clearly appears
tired as well as stunned by what he just experienced after more than
an hour of racing.
