Do you find the things along the horizon distracting?
-
Let me know what you think please.
-
Well photographically I don't have anything good or bad to say about it, but I do enjoy looking at it.

5a and 5b were taken aq fraction of a second apart.

It is with a heavy heart I find myself commenting on your photograph a second time, this time to point out faults. I have found "spots" on your image and while they are all but invisible in the smaller sizes they become a bit of an eyesore at larger sizes. If these are some part of the atmospheric conditions at the time I think they resemble "spots" enough to warrent correction. I will attempt to attach an illustration but if that fails they are on the right edge between the blue and brown (I'm sure these would go unnoticed by most). These were easy to over look the first time with so much beauty to enjoy.

This is what photography is all about. Top drawer.

I used a speed lite bounced off a high ceiling.

Great idea. Great picture.

I had to adjust the levels a little in PS. The rest was point and
shoot.
Any ideas on making it better would be appreciated.

I'm not sure about this one. It might be too busy. What do you think?

You can do a lot to soften that background in Photoshop or a similar program. Take a look at my "Final Approach" in my animals folder. My background was even sharper than yours.

This was done with a new camera that I was learning to use. I had to
guess at the settings.

Kudos to Jake for finding this place and kudos to you for capturing it so well. I'm not sure about the border but I'm sure it's not bad. I really enjoy looking at this photo. I have downloaded your picture to a folder I have for when I need a good idea or inspiration (which is about every other day).

Great photograph and the white works very well for me. It also reminds me of when I was much younger for some reason.

I had to remove a sign behind the bird and soften the background to
help him stand out. Any other ideas?

Yeah, what they said.
