Mike, I think you're being a bit dramatic - not to mention disrespectful. This is photo.net, and this is a great shot of the Manhattan skyline during a peaceful time. Great shot. It preserves the towers in our minds and hearts.
  1. No, this aircraft is still flying in the U.S., to my knowledge it has not been to Europe yet. The aircraft that went down in the UK was another hand-built replica. Sadly that aircraft crashed during an airshow in Coventry, UK, on May 31, 2003, killing the pilot and owner Pierre Holländer. That aircraft was based in Sweden.
  2. This is certainly NOT an original photograph taken in 1927 - I'm only trying to emulate that. This aircraft is actually owned by the EAA, and has been touring the country selling rides at airshows. It is supposed to be an exact replica, with the exception that the front seat in this aircraft is operational - not a big fuel cell like Lindbergh had. You're right, he used a periscope, and a different propeller. There are several other small differences in design - but overall it's the same bird. I'm just having some fun with using effects in Paintshop!

    Thanks for your feedback!

  3. Good point, perhaps I'll tweak the saturation a bit. I think I had left it kindof "untouched" because I uploaded this image to Airliners.net and they don't like ART, they like ACCURACY! Any ideas on how I might be able to reduce or remove the haze?
