The photo is absolutely dynamic.We can feel the movement more from the composition than the flying wings of the birds!The void space in the upright side of the line (cable) and the density of the birds in the opposite side is the reason.

This photo remembers me of a scene in early cloudy morning but above the clouds in a plane.

I missed to get a shot of that scene,but the reflection of sunlight on the clouds was very exciting. these are different but the sense is likely the sameommiting the background.

The image of the tap on the drop is more exciting than the drop fall from the tap....

Have you thought about using a dark background to hide the shadow and contrasting the drop? try it to show differences. good luck
