Does anybody know if those Sigma lenses (15-30 and macro 105 f 2,8)
will work with a full frame sensor such as the one of the Canon 1ds
mark II or the new 5 D?

Hi I noticed that lately when you go through the pages, if you
select a thumbnail to open a pic and rate it, when you want to go
back to the page where you started (where the thumbnail was), you
cannot anymore. This means for me that if I don't want to start all
over again from the beginning, I don't have to rate the pics.
So I don't think that this way works too well... It may just be my
opinion, but a short cut to the thumbnail seems to be strongly
needed. Cheers

what I actually do is take some more time and go through the pages. I guess most people stop at the second one!
I think the more we see the more we learn and appreciate photography.

I think that generally ratings are higher now I mean after the changes. Before mate ratings would bring you to the front page of course, but with a real rating value. Now we don't know anymore which is the real value of our pics. I personally would like to know about what I should change to take better shots or to improove anyway... Sometimes you get 1/1 ratings from unknowns and your pic disappears from visibility and you'll never know what is wrong or good with it. Mostly you need to go through the pages now to see really good shots that some i...t rated very low, I mean those shots from which you learn something... I am interested in good photography, please Brian make it more visible.

early morning shots or late evening ones will be better. Highlights are too strong during the day. Pay attention to the salted wind: my canon 10d got dirty on the beach and I had serious difficulty to have it cleaned. Defaults setting are fine to start. Read the manual carefully and then decide each time what is best for you. Cheers!

taking pics at children is hard work indeed! I have a daughter of 3 and a half and I take a lot of shots of her(you can visit my portfolio if you want). I have tried both inside pics and outside ones. I really do prefer the ones taken outside, expecially the one in the green. If you plan to work a lot with children I would suggest to create a scenery where kids can play and have fun: you'll get plenty of happy pics the way their family want to. But if you are for classical shots taken in studio, then you have to filter the light since it does look a little too harsh. I don't mind the white background, but with a softer light it would look so much nicer and real. I'll attach a pic in the green...

I like pose and composition. In the first one it annoys me that one eye is slightly out of focus and the second one I would like a little more contrast. But this is just my poor opinion.
